There’s a better way - and we’ve flickin’ found it.

When Flick Electric Co. broke into the market back in 2014, the electricity industry needed a good shake-up. Dominated by a number of big gentailers (that’s a generation-retailer), it was a stale and stagnant system based on high set rates - and us everyday folk were taking the hit. Ouch!

But a group of Wellingtonians knew there was a better way to do it. So with their skills combined, they began a new tech-based retailer that would disrupt the status quo: by offering New Zealanders a fair and transparent way to purchase power through the wholesale electricity market, and doing good things along the way. Genius!

From those humble beginnings, the Flick family has grown in size, but our core values remain the same. We’re an independent and Kiwi-owned company with a business model that’s built upon fairness, honesty and transparency, and that supports the causes we believe in. And that’s something we’re flickin’ proud of.
